Directions:

Zovirax Cream 10g is an antiviral treatment containing an active ingredient, aciclovir, which stops the multiplication of herpes viruses inside cells. This prevents the virus from spreading and causes rapid recovery. The active ingredient is aciclovir 5% w/w which is an anti-viral that stops herpes virus replication. Zovirax Cream is used to treat herpes simplex virus infections of the skin including the following viral infections: cold sores, genital herpes, shingles, and chickenpox. Zovirax Cream will not cure the herpes simplex virus (HSV) and will reduce the severity and duration of outbreaks. Zovirax Cream is for cold sores only. It is not intended for use by children. Zovirax Cream is not recommended for use by women who are pregnant, or are breastfeeding or planning to become pregnant. Zovirax Cream is not for use in children under 12 years old. Do not use any moisturising or anti-fungal cream. Do not use any sunblock, sunscreen or lotion on your face, eyes or body. Zovirax Cream should not be applied to broken skin, cuts, broken or infected areas, or other areas which do not have sores.
